Call for proposals for the Young Emerging Artists Market!

The Decatur Arts Alliance invites you to apply for booth space in the juried outdoor artists market area of our YEA! (Young Emerging Artists) event.
Returning for its third year, this wildly popular one-day arts event is for students in grades K-12 who want to develop and sell their own creative work. This event will be held on the square in downtown Decatur on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 from noon to 4 pm.
The Decatur Arts Alliance will set up a 20 x 20 ft. tent and provide a table and chairs for each artist/art group. The event will also feature a performance stage of bands or solo acts for students in grades K-12.

Fees

  1. Online: Visit decaturartsalliance/blog/yea. Please pay the processing fee by the application deadline and the booth fee upon acceptance.
  2. Postal Service: Two checks – for $5 and $10 – must accompany the application. Booth fee checks from artists not accepted will be returned.
No rain date and no refund of booth fees from accepted artists. Checks post-dated or returned unpaid by the bank will result in immediate disqualification.

Jury Process

  • Please submit three images of your work to yea@decaturartsalliance.org by August 25, 2015.
  • Send only the number of images requested. We will not view more than the amount requested. Only original artwork will be considered. No manufactured or “buy/sell” merchandise. If accepted, exhibitors must only show and sell work of the same type and style as demonstrated in the photos submitted with the entry application.
  • All applications must be received by August 25, 2015.
  • No late entries will be accepted.
  • Submissions will be juried and artists will be notified of the results by September 5, 2015.
