Gilbert Stuart and Howard Finster

These next few weeks in art- 4th graders will focus on two portraits of George Washington. One by Georgia Folk Artist, Howard Finster, and the other a commissioned piece by Gilbert Stuart.
Students will compare the pieces and learn background information on the two artists. Students will then create their own Colonial portrait in a Folk Art Style. Check out images below!
