Thanks to a generous PTA and a successful fundraiser all of our second and first graders were able to take field experiences to the High Museum of Art. Our first graders were paired with experienced docents who lead them on 45 minute tours of the permanent collection that focused on folk art as well as the architecture of the building itself. All students participated in a fun art workshop where they worked with wood and cardboard to build sculptures. The day was beautiful and the trip ended with students eating lunch out on the law of the museum.
