We started out the 2013 year at Oakhurst looking at the art of Modigliani. This was a school-wide art lesson. Students studied works by the artist and created self-portraits in the style of the artist. I extended the lesson and taught students how to create artist labels for their work. Below are photos taken from some of our first grade artists. :)
