This first grade lesson is an absolute favorite. Each year our First graders learn what it's like to be a scientist. In art we study the Scientific Illustrator Alice Tangerini who works for the Smithsonian. Students are excited to learn she is able to work with only the use of one eye ( the other is covered in a Pirate's Patch).
The drawings are always super detailed.
