I love Wayne Thiebaud. If I had an extra 10,000 dollars I would for sure use it to purchase one of his pieces. :)I can remember my first experience seeing this very painting- It was 2006 and I was with a friend in DC visiting the Smithsonian. For some reason this image stuck with me. What a fantastic way to teach shadows to 2nd graders!
